Game of Thrones 5x09 'The Dance of Dragons' TV TALK

Everyone who watches GOT knows that the ninth episode in every season is the best, the one where everything goes down and there's usually at least one death.... and this one didn't disappoint!!!
Season 5 has to be my favourite season yet and I haven't even finished it yet! This show still somehow continues to exceed all expectations.

SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD
North to south, we'll start with Jon Snow. At the wall, the wildlings have arrived and a tension has fallen over Castle Black. I don't know why so many of the Night's Watch are against the wildling peace.... there's an army of the dead headed your way. Who wouldn't want a little extra men to help fight? Who needs that explained to them?
Then we have Stannis. *overwhelming feels* I have major feelings over what happened concerning Stannis in this episode...

Stannis' troops are at an all time low- Ramsay's just snuck in and burned down half of their resources and the weather is proving a mighty opponent in itself. Stannis sends Davos back to Castle Black to get some more food for their upcoming attack on Winterfell.... which is looking more and more like a failure.
We have a really nice scene between Davos and Shireen and it just breaks my heart! He was more a parent to her than anyone else was and he wasn't even around to save her.... he'll be pissed for sure when he finds out.
Because Melisandre does what she does best, and manipulates Stannis into sacrificing Shireen for his victory. And, boy, it was a painful but powerful scene. The way Shireen was screaming through the whole thing was so hard to watch and it brought tears to my eyes (but not Red Wedding level).
Across the Narrow Sea, we had Arya continuing her spying in Braavos and who does she see? Meryn Trant! How convenient that someone on her list is here for the taking! We've never seen much from Trant but I can safely say that I don't want to after this episode. He goes straight to a brothel and displays his.... paedophilic tendencies. Arya, do us all a favour and slaughter this guy.
In Dorne, Jaime and Bronn are both freed and allowed to go back to King's Landing along with Myrcella and her betrothed, Trystane. Ellaria is less than happy but hopefully will back off a bit?
Finally, we had the epic Daenerys. She attends the fighting pit tournament and... look who shows up! Jorah really can't take a hint, can he? I'm sure it's all down to his greyscale because, if he's going to die, might as well go out impressing beloved Khaleesi! I love Jorah- he amuses me so damn much.
Dany and her ensemble watch as Jorah battles it out- getting knocked on his back more than he probably should've- and, I have to say, it's still weird seeing Tyrion with them! It's damn exciting but it's two separate character plotlines crossing paths and it feels surreal.
The Sons of the Harpy attack after Jorah has won and stuff goes down! We have a beautiful shot of Daenerys taking Jorah's hand, Tyrion saves Missandei and Drogon appears (if that wasn't a little predictable...) After an awesome scorching of all our enemies, Daenerys climbs on his back and is whisked off into the sunset.

And what a beautiful ending!

Thanks for reading! Feel free to comment your thoughts. Stay amazing!
