TV TALKS:
SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD
At the Eyrie, Baelish nearly got caught red-handed with killing Lady Arryn but, luckily for him, Sansa saved the day (I never thought I'd say that....) She lied about Baelish killing her and she's finally growing a backbone! I've waited so long for her to become bolder and stronger (she's been a bit pathetic overall) and now, she's finally making it.... along with dying her black- because that's how bad-ass she is now.
Arya and the Hound also make it to the Eyrie this episode and.... find out that Lady Arryn's dead. Arya just bursts out laughing because the Hound's been working all this time to get some gold off of her and everyone keeps dying before he can make it there. Comedy gold.
We saw another Wildling attack with none other than our favourite Wildling Ygritte.... or she was my favourite. They slaughtered through Mole Town but Ygritte thankfully spared Gilly and her son's life. But, obviously, Sam doesn't know this vital fact and is in pieces thinking that it's his fault they're both dead. Oh, Sam.....
Over to Ramsay, he gets Theon to go to Moat Cailin and get the Iron Islanders to surrender. Naturally, after they surrender, Ramsay goes in to slaughter them all- but he does get the approval of his father and his name is now officially Ramsay Bolton as a reward for his success. Just a classic villain with daddy issues.
Meanwhile at Meereen we have such a cute scene between Missandei and Grey Worm. There's the big implication that they like each other and I ship it so much!! They'd be so beautiful together.
Talking of ships.... we have Jorah's failed one. Daenerys finds out that he was originally a spy for her back in series one and she banished him, telling him never to come back. She should have let him explain more about why he stopped- he should've put up more of a fight! I think Jorah's absence is really going to affect Daenerys' actions now because he was her best adviser and gave the best contributions. There's nothing holding her back now.
Finally, we had Tyrion's trial in King's Landing which didn't end at all like I expected it would.
Before the trail started, we had a nice brother to brother moment between Jaime and Tyrion where they talked about Orson- a simpleton that would always kill beetles but no one knew why. The parallel with the big powers in King's Landing killing innocent, vulnerable people was portrayed poignantly through this story.
And then we had the long-awaited trial.
Oberyn started by kicking some ass and it was awesome- he was like a ninja! The problem was, he got cocky whilst trying to get the Mountain to admit that he raped and killed Oberyn's sister. This cockiness is what got him dead- but at least the Mountain died too! It was a brutal death, though!!
Tyrion is found guilty and has now been sentenced to death..... which I have no idea how he'll get out of but I still have complete faith that he'll get out of it.
Thanks for reading! Feel free to comment your thoughts. Stay amazing!
