Game of Thrones 2x08 'The Prince of Winterfell' TV TALK

We covered many different characters in this episode but only had a brief time with each of them. It was deceivingly slow this episode but, having looked back through, a lot happened. It's shaping up to an exciting end of the season.

TV TALKS:

Season 1:  1x01  |  1x02  |  1x03  |  1x04  |  1x05  |  1x06  |  1x07  |  1x08  |  1x09  |  1x10

Season 2:  2x01  |  2x02  |  2x03  |  2x04  |  2x05  |  2x06  |  2x07

SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD
Let's go from North to South.
Jon Snow's in a bit of a pickle because he's been surrounded and captured by the enemy. But, it's fine, because Quoran Halfhand has been captured too! You know, for a legend and one of the best fighters of the Night's Watch, they're doing terribly.

But they seem to have a little plan going. Quoran's implying that Jon should infiltrate the Wildlings from the inside.... which I can never see happening. I can just imagine Jon attempting to infiltrate them but pitying their cause, starting to like them, and never going through with his plans. But hopefully not, because that would be too predictable.
We even had a bit of Samwell! Sam and co. were digging and found some Obsidian aka. dragon glass witch sounds cool and all. Oh, the possibilities!!!!
Down to Winterfell, Theon is doing a superb job- brilliant, I tell you- at making me want to strangle him. He has a small spat with Yara because she wants him to come back to the Iron Islands. But Theon wants to stay because he's power hungry and wants everyone to love him as a ruler... because that's totally going to happen.
But Bran and Rickon are still alive- if that wasn't obvious already! I knew they weren't really dead and it's clever that they're hiding in the crypts of Winterfell because no one's going to think of looking there.
We go a bit further south to Robb who's having a swell time! I mean, after having to put guards on his own mum of course. He's understandably annoyed that Cat let Jaime go because she wanted the girls back. Brienne is currently off to take Jaime back to Kings Landing and, I have to admit, that I think Jaime's hilarious. He's got some good comebacks up his sleeve.
But Robb goes onto having a very deep heart to heart with Talisa which I think was nice. They're cute together. And then of course, things progress to full on sexy times.
Down in Harrenhal, we have Arya who is a very sneaky and clever girl. In order to escape Harrenhal with Gendry and Hotpie, she tricks- or rather, forces- Jaqen H'ghar into helping. She picks his own name as one of the three to kill and uses this leverage to make a deal in which he helps her escape. So, they're free now!
In Kings Landing, Tyrion is desperately trying to devise a plan against Stannis' forces.
We also discover that Joffrey plans to fight in the battle (because he's such a noble King) and, of course, Cersei isn't happy because she's never happy with anything. Cersei pulls some leverage over Tyrion to make him protect Joffrey but... it's not the best leverage. She brings in Ros, the local whore, thinking that she's the whore that Tyrion has feelings for. Honestly, I don't give a damn about Ros because I'm just too relieved that Shae is alright. And Tyrion's the coolest guy about it- he pretends that Ros is who Cersei thinks she is in order to keep Shae out of the limelight.
Later, we have this beautiful scene between Tyrion and Shae which I just love. They were telling each other their feelings and my heart just swelled! I'm scared though because I can't picture Shae living for too long...
And, finally, over in Qarth, we have a tiny scene with Daenerys debating about whether to rescue her dragons or to take the ship that Jorah found to Astapor. And we also take the time to friendzone Jorah yet again just in case he didn't get the memo the first time. I find this brilliantly hilarious!

Thanks for reading! Feel free to comment your thoughts. Stay amazing!
