Operation Prom Date- Cindi Madsen BLOG TOUR REVIEW and GIVEAWAY

****
This book was exactly what I needed.
I love Entangled Crush books in general because they're all so quick, cute and easy to read. I fly right through them in a day and they leave me feeling all warm and giddy- they are the ultimate feel-good books!!
And this one was no exception. Another thing I love about these books is that, more often than not, they tend to be closely linked to fandoms and have lots of references. This one had all the discussions of shipping, OTPs and TVD ships (plus a mention of Stydia!!) while previous books I've read have even mentioned Hamilton the musical (I'm looking at you, All Laced Up). These books are the best.
A downside of these books would be that they're pretty predictable but... that doesn't bother me. I go into these books expecting that I'll know exactly about the end- but it's fun to see the story evolve. It's easy to follow and the journey is the best part in these novels- not the destination.
As always on blog tours, the book cover and synopsis will be below this review as well as the author info and book links for you to check out!
Also, there's an exciting giveaway along with this blog tour- the link is underneath so check it out for your chance to win!!

Kate has to be one of the cutest protagonists I've read about. She was, in a word... nutty? It was an adorable crazy that instantly make me like her (plus, her loving TVD and Teen Wolf helped). I loved how much of a fangirl she was and still ended up with a perfect guy- there's hope for us yet, guys!!!
I also adore that she's a borderline stalker? It was amusing to no end.
Klaus? Stydia? Delena? Haylijah? This was my dream come true.
Cooper was the classic, swoon-worthy love interest. He was the sweetest guy and I fell in love with him almost instantly (definitely instantly).

The Bad Boy Bargain- Kendra C. Highley BOOK TOUR REVIEW

***
I was sent a digital ARC of this book from Chapter by Chapter Blog Tours in exchange for an honest review.
If you need a cute, funny, angsty romance read to warm you up over winter- The Bad Boy Bargain is definitely a contender.
It was a quick and easy read- very simple to follow along with and a lot of fun to read. It was as smooth as butter and (if you'll excuse the lousy metaphor), it was just all too easy to melt right into.
The romantic relationship was all sorts of sweet- if a bit frustrating at times. At points, you kind of get the urge to strangle the two protagonists for being so ignorant of the obvious but... we'll let that one slide for love, right?
When going into this book, I was expecting a lot of sass and witty comebacks (because, let's face it- all of our fictional crushes have a high level of sass) but I didn't get as much as I wanted. I let the 'Bad Boy' part of the title blind me and- without divulging too much spoilery information- it wasn't really like that.
I would compare this book with To All The Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han because they both have the sort of premise that a fake relationship 'deal' can grow into something more... and yes, I kept that as vague as I possibly could.
This book was such a nice read and I'd certainly recommend it for all you romance lovers out there.
All the book links, author links and synopsis will be below my review for you to check out the book!

One thing I will say about this book...Kyle Sawyer working shirtless in the back garden? Such a nice image in my head for the majority of this book. So thank you, Kendra, for that one.

Weregirl- C.D. Bell BOOK TOUR REVIEW

***
I was kindly sent this book by the publishers in exchange for an honest review.
Yes, yes, wolf books are far from cliché at the moment. I know, I know but...honestly? It's nice to have a bit cheese every now and then! It's nice to relax, sit back, and sink into a well-written, easy read. If it happens to be about a well-loved subject of werewolves? So, what?! It was a beautiful, unique, read and I desperately enjoyed it.
It wasn't your general werewolf story. Yes, the main character was bitten and turned but it wasn't the main focus of the story. There was so much depth and intertwining plot-lines that the fact that the heroine could turn into a wolf...it was just a given! And I liked that. There wasn't a major drama about the struggle to turn and I was so relieved about that.
There was a tiny bit of romance included... if I can say that definitively. Yes, it was small but it was there! It's the thought that counts.
I would definitely recommend this book for lovers of  supernatural and sci-fi mainly but, as with any book, there are so many different genre and topic layers on top of those.
All the book links, author info and synopsis are below this Book Talk if you'd like to check the book out!

This book was so beautifully easy to read. Seeing as though I read it over an eight-hour plane journey...it sunk into my system pretty quickly. And I think that makes it even better! It managed to hold my attention all through a long and tiring plane journey! Hats off to you, C. D. Bell.

Iniquity (Ascent #1)- Melody Winter BOOK TOUR REVIEW

***
I received this ARC from Xpresso Book Tours in exchange for a honest review.
I don't know what I was expecting from this book but... it wasn't that.
This book had such a unique and intriguing world and it makes me so excited for the next book. I think there's so much more to come from this series and I'm excited to see how it pans out.
The characters were, in general, lovable and the plot was executed at a nice pace. When first starting this book, I pretty much thought that I knew where the plot was going but it took a surprising turn that I appreciated and loved.
The book synopsis, links and author info are below this Book Talk in case you want to check the book out!

Athena was a great character (and not just because of her cool name). She was a strong-willed woman with a sturdy back-bone and I loved that about her. She had morals, principles and she stood by them. She has this determination to bring back the light and she doesn't let anyone warp that dream in her. I respected her a lot and I think that books are so much easier to read when you have a character you love.

Forever Blue- Abby Wilder BOOK TOUR REVIEW + GIVEAWAY

***
I was sent this book from Xpresso Book Tours to review!
This book was certainly....interesting. The whole book was shrouded in mystery and, while I was expecting an eerie contemporary, a whole new supernatural world was explored. I had a few issues with the book itself, (particularly the ending...) and was on the verge of giving it two-stars but, decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. The ending just ruined it a little for me.
The story was nicely complex- not overly- and the twists and turns kept me intrigued and interested to see what would happen next.
I would recommend this book if you're interested in realistic paranormal mysteries with a light romantic element.
The synopsis, author info and links are all below in case you want to check out the books for yourself!
The Giveaway is below my SPOILER BOOK TALK so check it out to win cool things!

One of the things I loved about this book was the mystery element. There was no certainty on who was responsible and it had me second-guessing myself all the time (in a good way).

All Laced Up- Erin Fletcher BOOK TOUR REVIEW

(4.5 stars)
This book felt like it was made for me. Romance? Ice hockey? Hamilton references? It was like a one way ticket to my heart.
This book was such a feel-good and adorable read. I melted right into it and it gave me all the warm and fuzzy feelings. Personally, I love ice hockey so this book immediately identified with me. Ice hockey is a hobby of mine (watching...not playing) that people wouldn't really expect from someone like me. But this book truly made me happy (and made me want to watch an ice hockey match).
The book was very well written and it was so realistic that I felt like I was there. I wouldn't say you particularly need to have a love of ice hockey to love this book (but having one makes it ten times better). I loved this book so much and would definitely recommend it. The book synopsis, links and author info are all at the end of this post so you can check the book out for yourselves!!

This story was just too freaking cute. I loved every word and my heart melted (...ice pun?) through every moment.
The characters were so easy too love (especially Pierce...) and that made the book so much easier to get into. It was a super quick book and I read it within a day.

Chasing Truth- Julie Cross (Non-spoiler) BOOK TOUR REVIEW

**** (4 stars)
I enjoyed this book so much! I have a guilty/ not-so-guilty pleasure of crime and mystery novels and this satisfied every need for it. All the book links, synopsis and author info are below this review so you check out the book!
The characters were likable- lovable, even- and the plot was nicely intricate and kept me guessing through the whole thing. Yes, a few things were a tad bit predictable but the aspects that really counted in the long run were executed beautifully.
Ellie was a great protagonist which really made the story easy to read and Miles was always going to be that swoon-worthy love interest- it was meant to be!
I like how the romance wasn't rushed and didn't overshadow the main storyline. It was slow-burning and didn't resemble the dreaded 'insta-love' in the slightest- it was quite the opposite!
I found the whole concept incredibly interesting and all the twists and turns had me utterly gripped in a way that resulted in my lack of sleep. (And, no, I didn't regret it in the morning).
It was well thought-out and each small detailed added up so nicely by the end.

Spindle- Shonna Slayton (Non-spoiler) BOOK TOUR REVIEW

*** (3 stars)
This was an interesting book- something very original within this genre. It stemmed from a fairy-tale but took a twisted turn and played on the story very well. All the book links, synopsis and author links are below this review so that you can check the book out for yourselves.
I have to say, the second half is way better than the first because it's more gripping and less stuttered. Especially since all the intense and interesting things happen. From the very beginning, an inevitable situation was introduced- with this type of story, it's obvious to see what will happen- especially with a cursed spindle involved. Even though this makes it quite predictable, I liked it because through the whole book we build up to this moment and suddenly you just want to know what will happen next and how the characters will resolve the issue.
Suddenly when this issue is instigated, it's more fast-paced and the pages begin to turn themselves.
There was a swoon-worthy and sweet love interest that I immediately fell in love with but was a bit annoyed by the lack of them within the main story- they should've been involved more as he's so funny and such a sweetheart.

Shadow of a Girl- Shannon Greenland BOOK TOUR REVIEW

***** (5stars)
This book was, in a word: stunning. It was nothing like I thought it'd be in the best possible way. It fulfilled all my expectations and beyond and will definitely be one of the top books of this year. It's an unbelievably swoon-worthy romance with a deep and empowering undertone weaved beautifully throughout!!! What more could you want?!
I loved the perfect balance of eye-opening rawness and cutsie- romance within this book. It gripped me so powerfully throughout, anxiously waiting for the inevitable to happen and for the proverbial poo to hit the fan. It was dramatic and I loved every single aspect about it- there's not one single flaw I can point out for this story.
Below, I'll put the book links, synopsis and author info so that you can check out the book for yourself! Enjoy!

This book jumped straight into the action- and, man, was I grateful for that. It instantly gripped me and had me hypothesizing about what Eve's background was. I liked how we learned what her background was as we read along because, for me, it kept the intrigue going and kept me hooked.
The characters, for one, were great in this book.
