Operation Prom Date- Cindi Madsen BLOG TOUR REVIEW and GIVEAWAY

****
This book was exactly what I needed.
I love Entangled Crush books in general because they're all so quick, cute and easy to read. I fly right through them in a day and they leave me feeling all warm and giddy- they are the ultimate feel-good books!!
And this one was no exception. Another thing I love about these books is that, more often than not, they tend to be closely linked to fandoms and have lots of references. This one had all the discussions of shipping, OTPs and TVD ships (plus a mention of Stydia!!) while previous books I've read have even mentioned Hamilton the musical (I'm looking at you, All Laced Up). These books are the best.
A downside of these books would be that they're pretty predictable but... that doesn't bother me. I go into these books expecting that I'll know exactly about the end- but it's fun to see the story evolve. It's easy to follow and the journey is the best part in these novels- not the destination.
As always on blog tours, the book cover and synopsis will be below this review as well as the author info and book links for you to check out!
Also, there's an exciting giveaway along with this blog tour- the link is underneath so check it out for your chance to win!!

SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD
Kate has to be one of the cutest protagonists I've read about. She was, in a word... nutty? It was an adorable crazy that instantly make me like her (plus, her loving TVD and Teen Wolf helped). I loved how much of a fangirl she was and still ended up with a perfect guy- there's hope for us yet, guys!!!
I also adore that she's a borderline stalker? It was amusing to no end.
Klaus? Stydia? Delena? Haylijah? This was my dream come true.
Cooper was the classic, swoon-worthy love interest. He was the sweetest guy and I fell in love with him almost instantly (definitely instantly).
It was obvious that Mick wasn't right for Kate but, there wouldn't be a story if she knew that, would there? But, a lot of the times around Mick were a bit... *facepalm*.
Most of the times she spent with Mick, I was inwardly (and outwardly) cringing. However, I did lowkey love how she beat the guys at poker with her math/nerdy powers!
We had many more cute moments with Cooper which made my heart happy. As soon as the boat began to sway, an accidental fall in was inevitable and yet.... it was so damn satisfying!!! It was great to watch them hanging out and seeing their bond naturally grow at a nice pace.
Now, I have to talk about their first kiss because!!!!!!!! I super fangirled and was so frustrated when they didn't admit anything to each other!! Just spit it out, guys!!
The ending and when they finally did get together was lovely and I'm so happy we got to see them at prom- too many authors stop the book as soon as the couple get together.
A minor thing that is way too undervalued is the friendship evolution in this book. So many people focus on the romance of it but... I loved the friendship growth. Kate starts off very lonely with little to no friends and, through the span of the book, she grows close with both Cooper and Jaden as well. Also, it's insinuated that she patches things up with Amber! I loved that sideline plot and the outcome that she has now grown confident enough to have a trusting and small circle of close friends.
Overall, this was a swoon-worthy and warm read.

Thanks for reading! Please feel free to comment your thoughts! Stay amazing!

Publisher: Entangled Teen Crush
Synopsis: Kate ships tons of fictional couples, but IRL her OTP is her and Mick, the hot quarterback she's crushed on since, like, forever. With only one semester left of senior year, it's now or never if she wants to land him in time for prom. Since she's flirtatiously challenged, she enlists Cooper Calihan, the guy who turned popular seemingly overnight but who used to be a good friend.
Cooper lives and breaths rowing, but his partner just broke his wrist. When he remembers Kate's good with a set of oars, he strikes a deal; help him train and he'll make sure her crush notices her. Only he didn't know how addicting spending time with her would be. Or how the more successful the Operation is, the more jealousy he experiences.
The mission has been set. The troops have their marching orders. But what if the target is the wrong guy all along?
Disclaimer: This Entangled Teen Crush book contains stargazing, accidental swimming and poker swindling. Their kissing practice will melt your ereader... and give you a new couple to ship.

Cindi Madsen is a USA Today Bestselling author of contemporary romance and young adult novels. She sits at her computer every chance she gets, plotting, revising and falling in love with her characters. Sometimes it makes her a crazy person. Without it, she'd be even crazier. She has way too many shoes, but can always find a reason to buy a new pair, especially if they're sparkly, colourful or super tall. She loves music, dancing, and wishes summer lasted all year long. She lives in Colorado (where summer is most definitely NOT all year long) with her husband and three children.
