Game of Thrones 3x08 'Second Sons' TV TALK

This was a very awkward episode but..... just the funniest awkward ever! Everything was so cringey and it had me laughing like crazy. And through all of this, it still managed to stay tense and on the events were balanced on a sword's edge. That is the brilliance of this show.

SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD
Let's start with Daenerys for the first time in a while- because she is my Khaleesi.
Dany goes to the Titan Bastard, Mero, to bargain for his slaves. And I have to say: Mero was a right pompous douche-canoe. After he refuses her, he send Daario to kill her and I quite like Daario (and I think Khaleesi sure does too). Instead of killing her, he brings her Mero's head and offers to help her which will be super entertaining.

Stannis has freed Davos which I'm happy about because I quite like the guy- if only because he's the only one who seems to be suspicious of Melisandre and... hate her guts.
We have mass stupidity from Gendry today. He's so naive!!! He instantly trust Melisandre and let's her seduce him into being tied up!! Why, Gendry, why?!? She uses leaches to get some blood from him and then puts them in a flame reciting the names Robb Stark, Balon Greyjoy and Joffrey Baratheon. It worries me when she's up to something. But I hope Gendry feels ashamed of himself.
Arya, on the other hand, is doing everything but trusting the person who's taken her captive!! As soon as she gets the chance, she tries to kill the Hound. Yeah, she doesn't succeed but at least she tries! The Hound is taking her to the Twins as Robb and Cat are there ready for the Frey marriage. But I know Arya probably won't get there to see them- she never seems to get to where she wants to go.
Up North, Sam is trying to get Gilly and her son to safety still. And... I do quite like watching their interactions. Sam's such a sweetheart and Gilly's very.... simple. As a result, their conversations are endearingly amusing.
A white walker comes for them and we find out that they can be killed with Obsidian blades (because I didn't see that coming at all!!). But what does Sam doing after discovering that this weapon can kill the enemy? He leaves the damn weapon on the floor! Use your brain, Samwell!
And all the awkwardness started within King's Landing. First off, Cersei threatens Margaery and it's so funny! Margaery is so good at manipulating everyone but Cersei is not impressed and can see past it all! It wasn't even a subtle threat- Cersei aims straight for the throat.
And then we have Sansa and Tyrion's wedding!! It was the most awkward thing ever in TV show existence. From Joffrey taking the stool so Tyrion couldn't reach up to put the cloak on Sansa to the insistent refusal of no bedding ceremony. Tyrion, bless him, was a gentlemen to Sansa about the whole thing which I respect to no end.
Tyrion gets very drunk (making a lovely threat at Joffrey) and doesn't make Sansa bed him- which I'm very sure both Sansa and Shae appreciated.

Thanks for reading! Feel free to comment your thoughts. Stay amazing!
