SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD
In King's Landing, Margaery and Tommen finally marry and 'enjoy' each other. And in terms of marriage for Margaery...third time lucky, eh?
I love every time that Margaery and Cersei have a scene together- their interactions are fascinating! They never say what they really think and, while they're quite outwardly polite, every word has an undertone of a threat. It's compelling to watch.
We have this new religious group, the Sparrows, cause some drama today. They publicly shame the High Septon for going to a whore house but Cersei seems completely fine with them- 'faith and the crown are the two pillars that hold up the world.' I can't help but think she might regret this in the future, though....
We saw a bit of Brienne where she confided her backstory to Podrick. She talks about how she was bullied when she was younger.....#relatable and all that but I'll be honest in saying I don't care all that much about Brienne. But Podrick, the sweetheart, is an amazing listener. Bless his soul.
We have exciting plans happening in Winterfell! Clever Baelish has made an allegiance with the Boltons by engaging poor Sansa to Ramsay! She's basically been shoved from one psychopath to another!! Ramsay has acted sane around her so far but that can only last so long.... it's painful to even think about.
Up at the Wall, Jon yet again refuses Stannis' offer (those bloody damn vows) and we have a nice parallel with Daenerys' predicament. Jon is forced to execute Lord Janos as he is a traitor to his commands- a similar situation to Dany being forced to execute a slave. To be honest, I'm surprised Jon went through with it.
Over the Narrow Sea, we had Tyrion being as amazing as he always is. He convinces Varys to get out of their travelling box and take a journey through Volantis on foot. They go to a brothel and look who we see...... Jorah!!!!
Now, Jorah being Jorah, is as smart as ever and manages to kidnap Tyrion to take to Khaleesi as maybe a way to gain back her trust. Well done, Jorah, you've kidnapped Tyrion to take him exactly where he was already going.... what would we do without you? (I do love Jorah but he's so easy to mock).
Finally, we have Arya's character arc where she's losing herself instead of finding herself like everyone else. She's serving in the House of Black and White which is a very creepy place to be. There's a pond that kills people if they drink from it and the place is full of very odd people. But determined Arya is set on becoming no one.... what an aspiration to have.
Thanks for reading! Feel free to comment your thoughts. Stay amazing!
Chloe
