In Braavos, we had Arya take on her new alter-ego, Lanna. For whatever reason, Jaqen wants her to spy on the Braavosi people which is fun and all but.... there's far more interesting plot lines in this show.
Over in Meereen, Daenerys banishes Jorah.... again. Poor bloke just keeps coming back over and over again. The guy needs to take a hint. But, in other news, Tyrion and Daenerys had a nice chat and now he's her adviser!!!! Together, they are the ultimate dream team!
Meanwhile in King's Landing, Cersei is stuck in a cell and won't confess to any wrong-doing. Qybern gives her a visit and find out that Tommen isn't taking any of this well and that he's holed himself up in his chambers, refusing to speak to anyone... because Tommen's never been of any use, has he? While Cersei's stuck in her cell, Qybern assures her that he's still working on the Mountain.
Up in Winterfell, Sansa confronts Theon and rips him to shreds for what he did to her family and her. And while I sometimes feel sorry for Theon, it's times like this that make me remember that he deserves it all! And suddenly all my sympathy is gone. Poof!
But Theon does reveal to Sansa that he didn't kill Bran or Rickon and that they're still alive. I kind of forgot that everyone thought they were dead. We've known they're still alive so it's easy to forget about how it was actually a secret. Plus... we haven't seen Bran at all this series yet... which I'm totally okay with. More than okay with, honestly.
Ramsay is preparing to take a small group of soldiers to take down Stannis' army which sounds improbable but.... it's Ramsay; he'll find a way to take them down.
And, finally, we had the main chunk of the episode- the battle sequence that made it feel like an episode nine episode.
Jon and Tormund went to the wildlings and offered peace to save them from the white walkers. But... they just weren't quick enough. Sure, they saved a nice amount of wildlings but everyone they didn't is now dead and Team White Walker.
The action sequence was really well done but I felt like knocking Jon around the head myself! He just strides into a full blown fight, thinking he'll be fine? If it wasn't for the miraculous convenience that longclaw was obsidian, he'd be dead right now.
It was super eerie when the Night King raised his hands and all the dead became white walkers but.... I still have so many technical questions!
Does he have to kill someone to make them a walker? Is it only babies that he can directly turn? Do you have to be killed by a walker to turn into one? Do they age? Because babies are turned into white walkers but they don't stay babies forever! Do we have a Twilight-Renesmee thing where they grow to a certain age and then stop?
Thanks for reading! Feel free to comment your thoughts. Stay amazing!

I loved this episode! Definitely a great one. Although, I kept wanting to scream at Jon where he is just standing in that boat. Leave! Get out! But nooooooo.
ReplyDeleteXD I'm actually not a massive fan of Jon! I don't particularly want him to end up on the throne- Sansa all the way!!
DeleteI love Sansa as the heir of Winterfell, and Warden of the North, but I'm not sure I want her on the throne. Ideally I'd want Tyrion on the throne, but I know that isn't going to happen...
DeleteTyrion would be great on the throne! Honestly, it's so hard to even guess what's gonna happen- it could go any way
