August Releases and TBR 2017

Releases:
Wonder Woman: Warbringer (DC Icons #1)- Leigh Bardugo
Dress Codes for Small Towns- Courtney C. Stevens
The Art of Feeling- Laura Tims
In Some Other Life- Jessica Brody

TBR:
I'm very much in a mood to re-read some of my favourite contemporaries so, many of those books are on my radar at the moment as well.

Geekerella- Ashley Poston (Book of the Month)
Me and Kailtin (Liber Amoris) have decided to read Geekerella this month! This has had so many great reviews and looks incredibly nerdy which I love! I mean.... Geek is in the title. I can't wait to get to it.

July Wrap Up 2017

This was a good reading month even though I had a bit of slump stumble halfway through (I blame ACOWAR because no series will ever live up to it).

A Court of Mist and Fury (ACOTAR #2)- Sarah J. Maas (Re-read)
* * * * *
I had to re-read this because I've been wanting to re-read this since August last year and the sequel has just recently been released. This is my favourite ever book, it still is, as re-reading it was such an amazing experience- taking in so many details that I missed the first time round. I would definitely recommend reading this series because it has the most perfect characters you could ever wish for.

A Court Wings and Ruin (ACOTAR #3)- Sarah J. Maas
* * * * *
I finally made it!!! I waited so long to read this book and it was everything I could want it to be! I devoured every single read and I'm already itching to re-read it. Sarah is a stunning writer and every single word is perfectly placed and beautiful. I was an emotional wreck through this- I must've looked crazy. I was crying, laughing, jumping up and down and squealing. Good thing I read it alone.

Shadowhunters 1x03 'Dead Man's Party' TV TALK

I will admit that this episode wasn't the greatest- my favourite will stay at episode two for now. But it's early days yet... for me anyway.
This episode didn't have the best dialogue and it was all very sexualised which I don't think sold very well and made the show uncomfortable at times. I would sum up this episode in one word: cheesy.

TV TALKS: 1x01  |  1x02

SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD
Poor Simon was captured by the vampires for the majority of this episode... and yet he still had the best dialogue! I will be honest, though, I was hoping through the entire episode that Simon would get turned into a rat somehow. Sorry, Simon.
But we go into the vampire den and my first thought is... 'Man, this den is stylish!' I figured that their hideout would be a bit more run down and inconspicuous but, obviously, I missed the fact that these vampires are incredible interior designers! I suppose they have a lot of time on their hands... eternity and all.

July Book Haul 2017

Not too many books this month which has surprised me because it's the summer holidays and I thought I would've been buying more but.... I've had other priorities of things I have to buy at the moment and I haven't got an endless bank account of money.... unfortunately.

The Walking Dead Quadrilogy- Robert Kirkman
Rise of the Governor | The Road to Woodbury | The Fall of the Governor Part 1 & 2
This was a gift from my lovely brother.
These are little prequels to the character 'The Governor' in The Walking Dead TV show. The first one looks really good, based on the blurb, but I'm a little apprehensive about the others because it overlaps with the events from the TV show and it doesn't look the events that happened in the show... I don't want it to be too different with the overlaps otherwise it just won't make sense to me. The first book is before the show, though, so that one at least should be fine.

A Darker Shade of Magic- V. E. Schwab
I got this book when I was on holiday in Norway... don't worry, though, it's not in Norwegian. I've now started to create quite a collection of V. E. Schwab book; Vicious, This Savage Song and A Darker Shade of Magic. I've heard that she's a really good author and have collected her books for that reason... but still haven't read them!!

Game of Thrones 2x01 'The North Remembers' TV TALK

I've started the second season and it's... interesting. We had a lot of characters stuff in this episode- especially meeting new ones which opened up a lot of opportunities and possibilities for the future.

TV TALKS:
Season 1:  1x01  |  1x02  |  1x03  |  1x04  |  1x05  |  1x06  |  1x07  |  1x08  |  1x09  |  1x10

SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD
North of the wall, Jon Snow and co. are cooped up in a guy called Craster's residence. From what we've seen, I think Craster's a bit of a creep- marrying all of his daughters and whatnot but... each to his own! He's allowed the Night Watch to stay there for the time being and also provided some vital information- he's useful after all!
We learn that an old member of the Night Watch, Mance Rayder, is forming an army in the North that's going to head for the South. Great. Just what we need. We already have enough enemies in the south, let alone the north butting their heads in as well!

Elephant Picture || Nostalgic Creative Writing

I'm a very nostalgic and sentimental person. Plus, I want to become a writer. So, when it came to creative writing tasks at school, I kept everything (so I may type up some more in the future). I've been digging through the old archives and stumbled across something that is actually quite significant to me for a multitude of reasons.
It's a small piece that I wrote with one of my best friends when we were 13 years old. This is special because we wrote it at the beginning of our budding friendship and have grown closer ever since. We'd never really talked before and this was probably the first project we ever did together.
We got given a picture (close to this one) and had to write a story about it. We, naturally, went for something more depressing.... and this was when we were in year eight! So, go easy on us.
It's not my best work but it's sweet to look back at.
Who knows? Maybe me and Kaitlin should co-write a book one day!

Kaitlin (Liber Amoris), this one's for you.
(I haven't edited any of it, so excuse us for any mistakes... we were 13. Even though all the punctuation mistakes are killing me!).

Elephant Picture- by Kaitlin Harbour and Chloe Harris

It's poor, high pitch screeches spread across the forest floor, trembling trees in it's path. The memory of comfort, lost in the ropes that tightly bound him, under his enemie's eyes.
Never before had he witnessed such loss and pain from a life he could barely remember. Where was his family? Why was he here? Would he survive? Questions that remained unanswered.
Memories flashing back, bit by bit, piecing together how he ended up here...

Game of Thrones 1x10 'Fire and Blood' TV TALK

This episode was a bit tamer than I was expecting it to be- it mainly just set up a bunch of plot lines for the next season. So, at least the next season looks like it's going to be epic!

TV TALKS: 1x01  |  1x02  |  1x03  |  1x04  |  1x05  |  1x06  |  1x07  |  1x08  |  1x09

SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD
We start the episode by seeing all the Stark family reactions to Ned's death and... it's not nice. Sansa fainted, Arya was crying, Cat nearly fell to the floor and... Robb broke his sword!!!!!!
Joffrey decided that he hadn't been enough of bastard quite yet so forced Sansa to look at her father's head on a spike. I like that she's starting to talk back to him and defy him a bit- it shows that she's got a backbone under those dresses and fancy hairdos. Obviously, Joffrey doesn't quite like the small defiance but his mother always told him not to hit a girl... so he gets one of his guards to hit Sansa instead. Loophole!

Game of Thrones 1x09 'Baelor' TV TALK

This was another epic episode and has to be up there as one of my favourites. It was a bit of a surprising cliffhanger ending for this episode which will no doubt lead to an awesome finale of the first season.

TV TALKS: 1x01 | 1x02 | 1x03 | 1x04 | 1x05 | 1x06 | 1x07 | 1x08

SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD
Let's start with Jon Snow because his plot line was probably the least dramatic out of everyone's... that's maybe considered a blessing and a curse.
Jon goes through a bit more of an inner turmoil in this episode where he finds out about Robb's plans to go to war against the Lannisters. Jon's main decision is whether to stay at the Nights Watch or break his oath and help his brother... Bet he wishes he hadn't made that oath now, doesn't he?
He also gets given his own sword, Longclaw, (which is a much better name than Needle). He discovers the truth about Aemon Targaryen and is given some advice about love and honour and... it went a tiny bit over my head, if I'm being honest.

Shadowhunters 1x02 'The Descent Into Hell Isn't Easy' TV TALK

The second episode was a lot better than the first, I think. We've moved past the chore of introducing every character and can really focus on the plot and character interactions which I prefer. So much happens in each episode- they shove so much in!!!

TV TALKS: 1x01

SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD
What really shocked me in this episdoe was how quickly Clary has adjusted to this whole supernatural/ Shadowhunter reveal. She's certainly taken it into stride quickly and suddenly knows everything about everything about Shadowhunters... enough to give Simon a 101 session and act as if he's a dumb mundane to her expert Shadowhunter powers...

The Walking Dead 3x13 'Arrow on the Doorpost' TV TALK

This episode was very... tame. It was quite chatty and was mainly character based. Which I like.
TV shows like this are always assumed to be simply blood and gore and violence. The Walking Dead, however, revolves so much more around the characters and how they deal with the situation of being shoved into a zombie-apocalypse.

TWD TV TALKS:
Season 1: | 1x01 1x02 | 1x03 | 1x04 | 1x05 | 1x06
Season 2: | 2x01 | 2x02 | 2x03 | 2x04 | 2x05 | 2x06 | 2x07 | 2x08 2x09 | 2x10 | 2x11 | 2x12 | 2x13
Season 3: | 3x01 | 3x02 | 3x03 | 3x04 | 3x05 | 3x06 | 3x07 | 3x08 | 3x09 | 3x10 | 3x11 | 3x12

SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD
Today was a nice chat! The Governor and Rick finally meet and, oh, it's so exciting and yada yada yada.... when are we going to get more Walker action?
I hate how chummy and reasonable the Governor is trying to seem! When he smiles I just want to smack it off his head! He's hiding a gun under the table and I was so on edge the entire time! I wish Rick had just killed him when he had the chance.

Game of Thrones 1x08 'The Pointy End' TV TALK

This was another amazing episode because the plot is thickening now and things are getting super spicy! We had a lot happen in this episode and it's all really exciting to watch.

TV TALKS: 1x01 | 1x02 | 1x03 | 1x04 | 1x05 | 1x06 | 1x07

SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD
Ned has got himself into a bit of a situation. He's helpless and just stuck in prison. We don't see much of him in this episode but that's just because we're more interested in seeing the consequences of him being arrested- specifically the Stark family reactions.
Arya is nowhere to be seen. She was cornered by the Lannister army when training with Syrio and he managed to buy her time to get the heck out of there. And Syrio held his own! He only had a wooden sword and he fought super well! Until his sword was chopped in half, that is...
But Arya's safe and by safe I mean not in Lannister hands. Who knows if she actually is safe wherever she is?

Shadowhunters 1x01 'The Mortal Cup' TV TALK

I am a big fan of the Mortal instruments books and, after the epic failure of the movie, was uncertain if this franchise could ever pick itself up again.
Sure, the show isn't the best yet and the effects are much to be desired but... it has potential! The great thing about TV shows is that they always improve; the effects tighten up, the actors spend more time on their characters and there's so much time and room for realistic improvements.
While the show has strayed a bit from the book.... we were all expecting it to and I'm genuinely really excited to continue watching this.
It had a promising start and I have no doubt that it will continue to grow and improve.
It can't be worse than the move, at least.

SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD
The actors definitely have the look but it may take a while to really get into the characters.
Kat is definitely the right look for Clary and she shows promising acting at the moment- I think she'll really do Clary justice.
For me, Simon, really shone in this episode. He had the best dialogue, he delivered them the best and Alberto just fits the character so well! It could be because Alberto's the only one of the cast who's read all the Mortal Instrument books but he just portrays Simon so well! Simon's a sweetheart. Simon was the first character that I really latched onto in the show despite Simon being one of my least favourite characters in the books (controversial opinion- please don't shoot me).

A Court of Wings and Ruin- Sarah J. Maas BOOK TALK || ACOWAR WEEK Day 7

* * * * *
Of course this was five stars. No question.
This is going to be massive (massive) review so, I'll skim over the non-spoiler part very quickly.
This is the third book in the ACOTAR trilogy. There will be more books in the Prythian world but they'll follow different characters and plot lines... some maybe opened up in Wings and Ruin.
This series is an epic whirlwind of romance, action, Fae and everything right and amazing in the world. I'd definitely recommend it (obviously, because it's my favourite ever series).
Interestingly, I preferred Mist and Fury to Wings and Ruin but that doesn't mean that I didn't love Wings and Ruin. Reasons will obviously be explained in spoiler section.

I'll try my best to go through everything.
Going into this, I was so pumped! Feyre was just painting casually in the Spring Court like a freaking boss! She had Tamlin wrapped around her little finger and it was a beautiful victory! The way she talked about Tamlin was so gloriously bitter as well and I loved it.

'That was his new favourite word; try.'

Of course, Lucien completely saw through her bullshit and yet... he wasn't as suspicious as I thought he'd be. At times, it sounded like he truly believed Feyre and it confused me! It was still hilarious to watch though.

ACOWAR Predictions and Theories || ACOWAR WEEK Day 6

I've been looking forward to reading Wings and Ruin for over ten months of my life and, with that time, comes a lot of thinking. And predicting.
Sarah J. Maas books are notorious for being unpredictable despite the maasses (*wink*) of foreshadowing dipped into every chapter.
But we're going to try.
I have a few theories and predictions about what I think (or hope) will happen in Wings and Ruin.
Obviously, don't read this post unless you read Mist and Fury.

SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD
Sarah's mentioned on her twitter that Calanmai happened whilst Feyre was in the Night Court so my bet would be that Ianthe was the one that Tamlin had sex with. Also, I think there's a big possibility that Ianthe's pregnant because of this.... which would be absolutely entertaining.

ACOTAR BOOK TAG || ACOWAR WEEK Day 5

I found this Book Tag on the Youtube channel Whitty Novels and, as soon as I saw it, I had to do it. Let's not waste any time and get straight into the questions!

1. Lucien- A book that fits more than one genre.
The Covenant series- Jennifer L. Armentrout
Action. Romance. YA. Mythology. It's all in there and it is stunning. Honestly, I'd recommend reading any Jennifer L. Armentrout book- they're the best.

2. Tamlin- A book with a nice cover but you don't like what's inside.
(First off, this question had me laughing out loud).
Fallen- Lauren Kate
I liked this book when I first read it... which was around when I was ten years old. So, naturally, when I'm older and try to re-read it.... I can see how rubbish it actually is. That's just my opinion, though.

3. Amarantha- A book that haunts you.
We Were Liars- E. Lockhart
When finishing this book, I needed to re-read it so simply flicked back to the beginning and started again instantly. This book was so haunting for me and you keep thinking about it long after you've finished.

A Court of Mist and Fury- Sarah. J. Maas BOOK TALK.... AGAIN || ACOWAR WEEK Day 4

* * * * *
I loved re-reading this because it's my all time favourite book and I've never re-read it before. I first read it in July 2016 and I've been wanting to pick it up every day since. But I had the restraint to wait until Wings and Ruin came out so.... the time has come!!
I just had to write another Book Talk because I had to pick apart some of the foreshadowing and I simply needed to talk about it again!
And if you haven't read this series? Get on it!!! I beg you!
This review isn't as long as the other one because I don't go into as much depth.... but I'll link the other one that I wrote last year if you want a first-read, first-thoughts review (it's much better, in my opinion).
This review will seem like I'm ignoring and brushing over major plot points but that's because I included them in my original review and don't want to produce a carbon copy review!
A Court of Mist and Fury BOOK TALK (First-read)

SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD
Re-reading this book was great but... I forgot the first section was Feyre trapped with Tamlin the Tool so... I had to get through that quickly. The whole book really starts when Feyre goes to the Night Court, let's face it.

Favourite Fan Art- ACOMAF Edition || ACOWAR WEEK Day 3

There is a lot of amazing fan art out there and ACOMAF has some of the best- I have countless wallpapers and pictures of them littered around my life. My favourite fan artists have to be Charlie Bowater and Taratjah (she's amazing- she's does so much- including ACOTAR, The Lunar Chronicles and so much more!).
Seeing all this beautiful artwork makes me wish I could draw but... Alas, I'll just sit here and admire.
All artists credits will be linked in their name if you want to check out more of their work (which I strongly advise!).
There are many that I didn't include in this post- mainly because some are a bit... steamy and involve a lot of paint... (I'm looking at you, Charlie Bowater) but I'd recommend just flicking through Google Images for more. They're all amazing.

BEWARE- ACOMAF SPOILERS AHEAD-

The Inner Circle- Charlie Bowater- Buy her stuff!!!
These two pieces of art may very well be my favourite of all time. These are such a beautiful pieces of artwork and each of the characters are exactly as I imagine them to be- it's stunning!
The picture to the right also happens to be in the colouring book- suffice it to say, I'm terrified of doing this page because I'm scared I'll ruin it and not do it justice!

A Court of Thorns and Roses- Sarah J. Maas BOOK TALK- Post ACOMAF Re-read || ACOWAR WEEK Day 2

* * * * *
Yes, I've already done an ACOTAR review and, yes, I'm doing another.
The difference is, these are my thoughts on Thorns and Roses having read Mist and Fury... and, if you've read Mist and Fury, you'll know that every opinion and view changes after reading that beauty of a book.
So, almost to apologise for my terrible opinions in the original review (link here), I'm making up for it with my updating opinions and OTPs.
If you have not read Mist and Fury yet, I would strongly recommend- scratch that, order- you to read my other ACOTAR Book Talk without all the spoilers from the sequel that this review will contain. The link's up above! Do not read this one until finishing Mist and Fury!!!
I was super fangirling over this whole book because of all the foreshadowing that basically told us what would happen in Mist and Fury! Sarah makes it so obvious and I love pinning down the little clues that she scattered through Thorns and Roses.
I also have a Mist and Fury Book Talk which I'll link here in case you want to check it out!
(Language Warning!!!!)

SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD
I was worried going into this book because I thought I'd hate it after reading Mist and Fury and realising how controlling and idiotic Tamlin the Tool is but... it was really fun! I really enjoyed picking out all the foreshadowing and... analysing it basically. My English Language geek emerges!
I completely forgot how much of a bitch Nesta was in Thorns and Roses. She grows on me a bit in Mist and Fury and I know a lot of people like her but... I just don't see it. I respect that she's very fiery, stubborn and opinionated but I can never get over how selfish and spoilt she is. She demands things like a child and doesn't appreciate anything anyone does for her- Feyre kept her alive for years and all Nesta can do it complain and refuse to do any kind of work.
My first little notice of foreshadowing (and I may be looking more into things that have no relevance) was when Lucien first meets Feyre and says
'You're eyes look like stars."
Like stars!!! Like the Night Court!! Well played, Sarah, well played. Or.... nice coincidence.

A Court of Thorns and Roses- Sarah J. Maas BOOK TALK || ACOWAR WEEK Day 1

I first read this book years ago but I did write up a review and I've decided to post it simply because I want to compare it to another Book Talk I'm going to write when I reread it after having read A Court of Mist and Fury. If that made any sense.
Mist and Fury changes the entire way you see the first book- you can never read Thorns and Roses the same way again. So, as I'm re-reading the series ready for ACOWAR (!!!!), I'm going to write another Thorns and Roses Book Talk because my thoughts and opinions are completely the opposite from what they originally were. That's the beauty of Sarah's writing- she can set something up so perfectly and then completely change your view a minute later- and everything still makes sense.
If you have read Mist and Fury, please don't judge me on this next review... I hadn't read ACOMAF when I wrote it so I may have very wrong views.... very very wrong views. I'm so ashamed of myself when I read this...
An updated review of this book will come tomorrow for ACOWAR Week where I'll basically be fangirling over a certain character that I hate in this review... Enjoy!

SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD
I loved Feyre as a protagonist- she's feisty, stubborn and kick-ass, might I say! I'm not a massive fan of her sisters, though. Elain is alright but Nesta seems like a bit of a bitch. Nesta is so spoilt and ungrateful that I couldn't bring myself to like her.

Introduction/Schedule || ACOWAR WEEK

To mark and honour the fact that I've read A Court of Wings and Ruin (finally!) after waiting for all my exams to be over, I'm commemorating the occasion by creating my very own ACOWAR WEEK.
Starting tomorrow (Monday), I'll be posting an ACOWAR related post every single day for the entire week. This pre-post is just to let you guys know what's happening and what I've got planned for each day.
If you haven't read the ACOTAR series by Sarah. J. Maas, I'd seriously recommend getting on that. I mean, it must be good if I'm dedicating a whole week to it.

Schedule-

Monday- A Court of Thorns and Roses BOOK TALK (First read)- I previously wrote my review on paper because it was before I even started this blog but I'm typing it up for you guys!

Tuesday- A Court of Thorns and Roses BOOK TALK (Re-read)- ACOTAR is one of those series that, after you read the sequel, you have to re-read the first book because you have totally, polar-opposite opinions on everything. Hence why I'll have another review from when I recently re-read the first book having read sequel and changing all my views.

Wednesday- Favourite Fan Art- The ACOTAR fandom has a lot of amazing art, so I wanted to post and promote some of my favourite pieces by some amazing artists.

Game of Thrones 1x07 'You Win or You Die' TV TALK

The Game of Thrones truly starts in this episode... Cersei even said it!
'In the game of thrones, you win or you die. There is no middle ground.'
This was another great episode where everything is starting to unravel and a lot of exciting things were shovelled in. I can't believe that there are only two more episodes left in the series but I have no doubt that they will be epic!

TV TALKS: 1x01 | 1x02 | 1x03 | 1x04 | 1x05 | 1x06

SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD
We meet Tywin Lannister at the beginning and it's... okay, I suppose. It wasn't anything too drastic. He was just giving Jaime a bit of a pep talk about House pride whilst skinning an animal. Totally normal.
Jon Snow was back after two episode with no sign of him! And, of course, we also see his sidekick, Sam, who I think defines the term 'friend-zoned'. Bless him.
Jon completed his Night Watch vows and it was all a bit of a face palm moment. Now he's stuck there as a freaking steward to top it all off! He'll realise that he doesn't want to do it any longer but it'll be too late! Really, Jon, I'm disappointed in you.

Game of Thrones 1x06 'A Golden Crown' TV TALK

This has to be my favourite episode so far! So much happened and it was super entertaining! We had a bigger range of characters in this episode and a lot of exciting things are starting to unravel as well as tension starting to build. It's building up to a great end to the season.

TV TALKS: 1x01 | 1x02 | 1x03 | 1x04 | 1x05

SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD
Let's start with little Bran. I love that he's starting to grow more confident in terms of moving and fighting on horseback but... I feel like that confidence was quickly diminished when he nearly got taken from random people... wildlings, is it safe to assume?
But good ol' Robb had his brother's back... until he didn't. Which gave Theon Greyjoy a perfect opportunity to slide in and save the day! What a lovely happy ending to that chapter in the episode.
We got to see Arya's continued training which I love seeing! She takes it so seriously and it's really nice to be able to see her character development throughout the episodes- even if it's only tiny snippets.

Game of Thrones 1x05 'The Wolf and The Lion' TV TALK

I'm half way through!!! I was a bit sad in this episode because we didn't see two certain characters that are my favourites but... we'll not dwell on that.
Overall though, I quite liked this episode. A lot happened and it feels like things are building to create a nice bit of action for the second half of the series which is exciting!!

TV TALKS: 1x01 | 1x02 | 1x03 | 1x04

SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD
We didn't get to see Daenerys or Jon!! And I'm not bitter about it at all.
We stared off the episode with another joust from the Tournament. How long does the Tournament even last for? Because at this rate, it will last all through winter...
We meet a new guy- Loras Tyrell- knight of the flowers (which is just the manliness title if I've ever heard one).
I love how Sansa suddenly became super obsessive and smitten with Loras simply because he gave her a flower before his joust... I sometimes don't even know where to start with this girl. Too bad he's gay- sorry, Sansa.

Mist and Fury is my favourite ever book so I'm super pumped to see how this story arc in the Prythian world resolves itself.

Lord of Shadows (The Dark Artifices #2)- Cassandra Clare (Book of the Month)
This is July's Book of the Month! Both me and Kaitlin loved Lady Midnight and can't wait to move onto this sequel! Each Cassie Clare book gets better and better so I've got high expectations for this monster of a book!

The Walking Dead 3x12 'Clear' TV TALK

This was a nice gap episode within the main plot of the season. Of course, we were still on a mission to help us with the battle but we only focused on a minor goal and a select few characters. I like this concentration of a character driven episode and the character development shines through in this episode.

We have a little road trip run today that we focus on and I loved it! Obviously I missed seeing other characters (Daryl....) but it was nice to centre on a few characters and drive character development.
Rick and Michonne drive straight past a hitchhiker to start with and it was actually kind of funny watching him scream and run after them... I don't know what that says about me.
They get surrounded by Walkers and I'm pumped!!! I love a little action and Walker deaths but we didn't really see much of it.
