Westworld 1x06 'The Adversary' TV TALK

This show is getting better episode by episode. I was on the edge of my seat through the whole thing and may have been shouting at the TV screen- full fangirl style. This show is expanding so much and the characters are developing at an outstanding rate. It's so enthralling to watch and things are really beginning to build up for the end of the season.

TV TALKS
Season 1: 1x01  |  1x02  |  1x03  |  1x04  |  1x05

SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD
Let's start with Maeve because she owned this episode! Her actions in this showed exactly why she's my favourite character.
She begins back at Westworld and consciously gets a newcomer to kill her so that she can wake herself up in the modern world. She resumes her conversation with Felix and gets him to show her around the tech complex. It was amazing to watch her discover everything about the hosts and to realise that everything she does is controlled.

When Felix and the asshat that gets involved tell her about how they built her, she immediately wants an upgrade. I was getting so excited by this point! She manipulates them brilliantly to get them to do what she wants and she lowers her loyalty and boosts her overall intelligence to way above the limit for hosts. I'm so pumped to see what happens now that she's even smarter!! She's such a head-strong character and that's why I love her.
We see the Man in Black and Teddy continue their search for Wyatt. Teddy gives us a bit more info about the maze and how there was said to be a legendary man inside it that came back to life multiple times and shut himself away in a maze.... could it possibly be Arnold? Or is that too obvious?
They reach a group that know of Teddy and we have a massive shoot out where Teddy shreds those guys to pieces!! It's brutal but, man, it's great to see Teddy deviating from his loop a bit.
We had Elsie go into Westworld to find out who was smuggling data from inside and... it was like she stepped onto the set of a horror movie. She quickly finds out that Theresa and supposedly Arnold is behind it all and calls Bernard to tell him this. She says that they're the reason why some of the hosts are breaking loops and reveals that this could mean total disarray and the hosts could possibly start to hurt and kill guests. So, doesn't this means she should be getting out of there ASAP? If she could possibly be killed by a host now, shouldn't she make a break for it while she can? But no, she stays to do some more research and is then taken by Gods know who. But it scared the crap out of me- I jumped so high it's not even funny.
Bernard also briefly goes to Westworld to investigate a few anomalies that came up on the old system. We find that Ford has preserved a gift from Arnold there- a remake of his happiest childhood memory. This begins to make Bernard a little suspicious of Ford...
Ford's younger self host kills his dog and Ford goes to investigate why. Host Robert lies straight to Ford's face and this is where alarm bells are starting to ring in his head. Somehow, the hosts are able to harm things and lie about them.... He also discovers that Host Robert has been hearing Arnold's voice. And that can't be good.
Finally we had the Head of Narratives, Lee, getting hella drunk and frustrated which causes him to literally piss over the entire Westworld map. He also meets Charlotte Hale who is the Executive Director of the Board and... that can't be anything good.
In terms of theories, I saw a mind-blowing revelation on the internet... Bernard Lowe is an anagram of Arnold Weber.... so many possible theories!!!!

Thanks for reading! Feel free to comment your thoughts- theories? Stay amazing!
