The Greek Mythology Book TAG

You can tell who my favourite God is...
Due to extreme busy-ness, I needed a filler post until I can bring myself to finish my giant review of It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover. So.... Tag Time it is!!!
You may not know, but I freaking love Greek Mythology. I love reading retellings of the Gods (e.g. The Covenant series by Jennifer L. Armentrout/ Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan). The Gods are always super sassy and fun in these books so I'm definitely up for doing a book tag all about them!
I first saw this tag over at Readers and More, so I'll link their post in case you want to check it out!

Zeus- God of the Sky and Thunder- Favourite book
At the moment, I stand at A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas (no shocks there, then). But when the sequel comes out.... I may change it to that one.

Poseidon- God of the Seas- Book that drowned you in feels
Winter- Marissa Meyer
This finale was everything a finale needs to be. Going at 800 pages, it had everything it needed and watching all the previous books and characters coming together into a massive, epic finale.... gave me some feels alright.

Hades- God of the Underworld- Favourite book with a dark and ominous plot
We Were Liars- E. Lockhart
That's one of the main things I loved about this book. It was so eerie and dark- a creepy, mysterious and dreamy plot mixed with a deep and ominous plot.

Hera- Goddess of Marriage and Family- Cutest fictional couple
I'll go with Deacon and Luke from the Covenant series by Jennifer L. Armentrout because they are literally adorable!!!! They define the word adorable and their existence gives me life.
The Struggle- Jennifer L. Armentrout Book Talk

Athena- Goddess of Wisdom/Strategic Warfare- Series with the best world building
Throne of Glass series- Sarah J. Maas
This will always be one of the best thought-out, intricate and deep worlds I've ever read. It's so well planned out and the history of the world and the ancestry of the characters is so rich. This is the most detailed world I've ever read.

Aphrodite- Goddess of Beauty- Most beautiful cover
Red Queen- Victoria Aveyard
This is my go-to because it is bloody gorgeous! Emphasis on the bloody, I suppose...

Ares- God of War- Most violent book you've ever read
Does a comic count?
The Walking Dead- Days Gone By- Robert Kirkman
More gruesome than anything else. A lot of the books I read aren't gory. Maybe I should expand my book choices.

Hephaestus- God Blacksmiths and Fire- Scorching hot swoon-worthy character
Rhys, Rhysand, The High Lord of the Night Court. Death Incarnate, Night Triumphant!!
...Rhys from A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

Artemis- Goddess of the Hunt and Virginity- Favourite kick-ass heroine
Alex Andros- The Covenant series by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Not many people can say they're as sassy, beautiful or as bad-ass as Alex.

Apollo- God of Light and Healing- Sequel that redeemed its series
The Scorch Trials- James Dashner
This was a really difficult answer to think of because, generally, if I don't like a book, I won't continue the series. So many books, so little time and all that. With this series, I liked the first book but the second will forever be my favourite. Normally, the second book isn't as good in the series but that may just be my opinion.

Hermes- Messenger God of Thieves- Book with the best message
Since You've Been Gone- Morgan Matson
I can't wait for the summer because this is my annual contemporary read for the summer. This is a charming read with the message that you should just put yourself out there, take risks and enjoy life.

Hestia- Goddess of the Hearth and Home- book with the most relatable story
This is another difficult one to answer because a lot of what I read has romance and... I'm pretty much alone in that department so, no story is wholly relatable but I'll go with...
Fangirl- Rainbow Rowell
Minus Levi, of course... I'll just go sit and cry by myself.
Just kidding; I don't need a man to feel whole (preach!).

Demeter- Goddess of Fertility and Agriculture- Best bookish setting
Dorothy Must Die- Danielle Paige
I love the idea of Oz and I'd definitely visit if I could. Either that or...
The Chronicles of Narnia- C. S. Lewis
I mean, who wouldn't want to go through the wardrobe and into Narnia?

Dionysus- God of Wine and Celebration- release you are most anticipating
Now that ACOWAR is out of the way and out I'm lost for an answer! I may have to go with the new spin-off trilogy that's been announced for the Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi. It follows the same characters and I'm so excited!
I loved this series so much; I have my heart open to the best side-kick in the world (Hey Kenji *wink*) and I'm also extremely dedicated to an OTP ship in this series that I need to see more of!!!So pumped to delve into this series once more.
