May Book Haul 2018

I did pretty well this month. Lately, I haven't really bought many books but I got three this month which I'm super happy with.

A Court of Frost and Starlight (ACOTAR #3.5)- Sarah J. Maas
Unsurprisingly, I had this book pre-ordered the second it became available (if only to get the free Night Court pin that came along with it). This is maybe my favourite cover of the whole series because everything comes together beautifully: the image of Feyre, the Night Court tattoo and symbol, the quote, the background... it's a cover fit for a High Lady, that's for sure. The only downside to this book is... it's tiny! It's only around 200 pages which is definitely the smallest ever Sarah J. Maas book. Nevertheless, it's my most anticipated book of the year and I can't wait to read it.

Thunderhead (Scythe #2)- Neal Shusterman
I have been looking for this book for so long so, the second I saw it in Waterstones, it was mine. Granted, I wasn't in much of rush to read it because I haven't even read Scythe yet but I wanted to have both of them before I started reading Scythe because, from what I've heard about this series, I'm gonna wanna read them back-to-back. I have only heard amazing things about this series and the premise is so intriguing so I can't wait to pick them up. (Plus, they're super super pretty).

The Astonishing Colour of After- Emily X. R. Pan
This was a bit of a impulse buy. I've only heard good things about this book and I know that when it gets to the summer, I'll want to sit down with a nice contemporary book instead of delving into high fantasy. This sounds like a nice, down-to-earth read and the cover is also stunning which may or may not have played into my decision of buying it.

Thanks for reading! Feel free to comment your thoughts! Stay amazing!

  1. A Court of Frost and Starlight is only 200 pages?!? Wow...
I haven't started ACoTaR yet because I wanted to wait until the series is done (because I don't want to deal with more cliffhangers than Throne of Glass and Shadowhunters ones right now), but I still expected this installment to be much longer.

    1. It's apparently a bridge book between the main trilogy and the next spin-off books. But I will still cherish what little is there xx

  2. ACOFAS is such a nice addition to your books! I'm curious what you'll think about the book :)

    1. I'm so excited to read it! I have a feeling I''ll read the whole thing in one sitting!
