The Bad Boy Bargain- Kendra C. Highley BOOK TOUR REVIEW

***
I was sent a digital ARC of this book from Chapter by Chapter Blog Tours in exchange for an honest review.
If you need a cute, funny, angsty romance read to warm you up over winter- The Bad Boy Bargain is definitely a contender.
It was a quick and easy read- very simple to follow along with and a lot of fun to read. It was as smooth as butter and (if you'll excuse the lousy metaphor), it was just all too easy to melt right into.
The romantic relationship was all sorts of sweet- if a bit frustrating at times. At points, you kind of get the urge to strangle the two protagonists for being so ignorant of the obvious but... we'll let that one slide for love, right?
When going into this book, I was expecting a lot of sass and witty comebacks (because, let's face it- all of our fictional crushes have a high level of sass) but I didn't get as much as I wanted. I let the 'Bad Boy' part of the title blind me and- without divulging too much spoilery information- it wasn't really like that.
I would compare this book with To All The Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han because they both have the sort of premise that a fake relationship 'deal' can grow into something more... and yes, I kept that as vague as I possibly could.
This book was such a nice read and I'd certainly recommend it for all you romance lovers out there.
All the book links, author links and synopsis will be below my review for you to check out the book!

SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD- SPOILERS AHEAD
One thing I will say about this book...Kyle Sawyer working shirtless in the back garden? Such a nice image in my head for the majority of this book. So thank you, Kendra, for that one.

The whole beginning section with Faith and her douche-canoe ex-boyfriend kind of reminded me of Shut Out by Kody Keplinger but I love that book so it was a nice comparison in my head.
I, personally, think that the title of this book is a bit misleading. I get that it's showing the 'facade' of Kyle like he puts on in the book (that he's some bad-ass player) but it kinda let me down. I love a good bad boy and was happily expecting an arrogant, cocky, sassy, flirtatious guy that just...never appeared. I appreciate that this was the general point of the whole book but it just dropped my enjoyment a teensy-tiny bit.
Kyle was sweet but sometimes, I gotta tell you, I wanted to give the guy a good shake. Get over it, man! It took him way too long to open up and say the right damn thing.
faith- I loved. She was quiet in a way that was endearing but when it came to it... she was feisty and flirty! She instigated basically everything in this book and I loved reading in her perspective.
Watching Faith and Kyle's relationship slowly grow throughout the book was so lovely to read. All the cute fumbles and awkward moments just added to the innocence of it and there was so much humour weaved throughout! (All of my favourite moments consisting of when Kyle had his shirt off and Faith was openly gawking).
All in all, I did really enjoy this book and it was a beyond-cute, summery romance that makes you feel all warm and gooey inside.

Thanks for reading! Feel free to comment your thoughts! Stay amazing!

Baseball player Kyle Sawyer has many labels; bad boy, delinquent, ladies' man, fearless outfielder... Only one of them is actually true. But then Faith Gladwell asks him to help wreck her reputation, and everything goes sideways.
Faith knows a thing or two about love, and what she had with her cheating jerk of an ex wasn't it. When he starts spreading rumours about her being an Ice Queen, Faith decided it's time to let a little bad into her life.
Lucky for her, Kyle Sawyer- dark, dangerous, totally swoon-worthy Kyle Sawyer- is landscaping her backyard over Spring Break. Shirtless. And if she can convince him to play along, 'dating' Kyle would silence the rumours.
But Faith's plan threatens to expose Sawyer's biggest secret of all... and that's a risk he's not willing to take.
