The Intimidating TBR TAG

1. Unable to finish
The Raven Boys- Maggie Steifvater
I've tried reading this before but never finished because I got confused and bored. I'm going to try again at some point because that was a couple of years ago but I'm finding it hard to pick up again.
2. Haven't had the time
Lunar Chronicles- Marissa Meyer
I've wanted to read this for so long but have just not had the time! I own the first three and want to get the fourth before jumping into this series. I hope to read it by 2017.
3. Haven't gotten round to reading the sequel
Glass Sword- Victoria Aveyard
I loved the first book but I still need to read the second! I've heard amazing things but I just need the time to get round to it.

4. Haven't read because it's new
A Court of Mist and Fury- Sarah J. Maas
This came out last month and I can't wait to read it! It's been one of my most anticipated reads this year and I am dying to read it!!!
5. Haven't read a book by the same author because you haven't liked previous books
Afterworld- Scott Westerfeld
I wasn't a massive fan of Uglies and Pretties and have not finished that series yet. I have been interested in reading Afterworlds but I'm on the fence about it.
6. Haven't read because you're not in the mood
Carry On- Rainbow Rowell
This is Rainbow Rowell's first fantasy book and I haven't been in the mood for this sort of fantasy lately. I'm craving fantasy but more of an epic and high fantasy series.
7. It humongous
The Bane Chronicles- Cassandra Clare
All of Cassie's books are big and it's so daunting!!! It stops me from picking them up even though they are stunning!
8. It was bought as a cover-buy but since then you've heard bad reviews
The Queen of the Tearling- Erika Johansen
I bought this because of the cover and because it sounded like a great book. This book has not had bad reviews by any means but, from the summaries that I've heard, it sounds very politically based and deep. This kind of puts me off but I still really want to read it.
9. Most intimidating
Lady Midnight- Cassandra Clare
This is a giant book and so intimidating! Cassie's books have so many plot lines and you need to be really focused to read these. I've been avoiding it for so long but am finally reading it so this can be ticked off of my TBR very shortly!

Any intimidating books you still need to read? Comment them below. Thanks for reading! See you soon,
Chloe

  1. I haven't been able to finish The Raven Boys either. I thought it was confusing too. It was just so hard to understand. I think the hype that surrounds it is the thing that makes me want to try reading it again. It's been a couple of years since the first time I picked it up and I really want to like it because of how popular it is but I'm not sure I will.
